Real-world example of Redetec fire suppression system in action.

The primary benefit of a Redetec fire suppression system is its capability to identify a fire inside a server rack, cabinet, or enclosure and respond swiftly to safeguard essential servers and IT assets from fire damage. Redetec's rackmount fire solutions feature UL and LPCB certified detection, SMTP/SNMP alerts, and integration with building management systems.
Redetec Common Applications
Sever, Computer Rooms and Datacentres: Redetec is an easy to install, design free fire protection solution for computer rooms and all types of data processing areas.
Petrochemical and Oil Production: The fire solutions provide continuous fire protection for control systems and remote operating stations in petrochemical and oil & gas production facilities. The units can operate as a standalone or full integrated safety solution within safe and classified areas.
Banks and Financial Centres: the continuous availability of data processing is crucial for banks and financial centres. System up-time is supported by a thorough fire protection and security management system. Redetec Plus is the only system which delivers cabinet fire detection and suppression.
Industrial Production and Process Systems: the modular fire detection and suppression system offers a flexible design and scalability. With the Redetec solution it is easy to install additional protection for process and manufacturing equipment areas as they are expanded.
Operations Control Centres: in some control centres automatic fire suppression systems are disabled during working hours. The Redetec fire solution does not need isolation and provides continuous monitoring and protection. The system does not provide a total room flood during discharge and its therefore more cost effective than a traditional control room fire solution.
Telecommunications Centres: the 19inch rackmount fire solutions protect telecoms equipment from fire and intrusion and provide a comprehensive safety, security and condition monitoring solution for local and remote stations.
Redetec Case Studies
Case Study: Medical Facilities / Hospital
General hospital in Rotherham, England
Specification:
To provide fire protection for 32 individual cabinets situated in small rooms and corridors across the hospital site (different locations).
Solution:
To install a Redetec unit in each cabinet and link to the centralised Hospital Fire Alarm system, a cost effective and flexible solution which was approved by the fire officer.
Hospital in Buckinghamshire, UK
Specification:
To provide fire protection for 32 cabinets in 3 data centres spanning 3 hospital sites without altering the fabric of the building on each site.
Solution:
To install a Redetec unit in each cabinet and link to the individual Hospital Fire Alarm systems, fulfilling every requirement of the clients demands.
Hospital in Kettering, England
Specification:
The hospital were struggling to find a cost-effective solution to protect their key IT infrastructure which was situated in 15 various locations across the hospital estate (wide area).
Solution:
Working closely with the appointed fire officer, Redetec was able to provide localised fire protection to each IT cabinets, across 15 locations all linked via our IP modules back to a central monitoring suite. With a risk of hazardous materials within the fabric of the building a fixed system would have been very costly.
Case Study: Hotel
Golf Club and Hotel Resort in Turnberry, Scotland
Specification:
The hotel underwent a $200 million dollar renovation project in 2015. This meant an increase in the number of IT/Comms cabinets installed across the hotel complex. These cabinets were situated in tight spaces, loft & roof voids which were largely inaccessible on a regular basis.
Solution:
Redetec was specified as the system of choice and is now the standard product for all new cabinets at the hotel. 27 Redetec units across the main hotel and self-catering villas all reporting back to a central IT management suite.
Case Study: Private Offices
Private offices in a building in London, England
Specification:
The building accommodates private companies from diverse business sectors such as energy, retail, technology, finance, professional services, education, and healthcare. Due to the premium on floor space and the restriction on external ventilation, a fixed system was not feasible. Therefore, the only viable method to protect the cabinets from fire was an in-rack solution.
Solution:
Since 2018, Redetec have provided rack-mount fire protection solutions to the both the landlord and tenants of building. To date, we have installed 35 units within the building with the number increasing every year. Redetec is now the standard fire protection solution for new and existing tenants.
This demonstrates that Redetec offers the appropriate solution for both public and private sectors.
